Professor Matt Davis Talks Lithium Oxide in New England
Matt Davis, an associate professor in the Department of Earth Sciences, recently spoke to WMUR News about a new U.S. Geological Survey report that found about 900,000 metric tons of lithium oxide concentrated in New Hampshire and Maine.
"This is a new resource that is in demand. So I think it puts us in a position where we can evaluate the potential for extracting that resource for economic good," Davis says.
